Keith A. Marx, 87

Keith A. Marx, 87, of Hartford, passed away Thursday, Jan. 10, 2019, at The Kathy Hospice in West Bend, surrounded by his loving family.

Keith was born Feb. 23, 1931, in Hartford to Mildred C. (nee Young) and Joseph P. Marx. Keith worked for Wittenberger Bus Service where he met his wife to be, Paulette M. Baertlein. They were united in marriage Aug. 10, 1968, at St. Hubert’s Catholic Church in Hubertus. Keith served in the United States National Guard from 1948-1957. He worked for International Stamping Co. Inc. (then Midas International, 1984) from June 17, 1946, to May 13, 1988, retiring after 42 years. He also worked for the Hartford Fire Department from April 1959-July 1993. He was the engineer for the first diesel pumper for the city of Harford, “1660” Mack. After Keith’s father passed Feb. 3, 1993, he became President of Marx Industries and JorMar Industries.

Keith is survived by his beloved wife of 50 years, Paulette Marx; loving son, Paul J. Marx; and dear sister, Marlene Confare of Hartford. He is further survived by other dear relatives and friends.

He is preceded in death by his parents, parents-in-law and siblings-in-law.

Funeral services for Keith will be held at 12:30 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 16, at the Shimon Funeral Home, 824 Union St., Hartford, WI 53027. Family will greet relatives and friends at the funeral home Wednesday from 10:30 a.m.-12:30 p.m.

Interment will be in Pleasant Hill Cemetery, Hartford.
