Robert W. “Bob” Kaul, 64, of Fond du Lac, died suddenly and unexpectedly Monday, Dec. 31, 2018, at Froedtert Hospital in Milwaukee following cardiac arrest. He was born in Fond du Lac on Tuesday, Sept. 28, 1954, a son of Wilson and Margaret (Albee) Kaul and was a 1972 graduate of L.P. Goodrich High School in Fond du Lac.
Bob’s first word was “car,” and his passions included cars, motorcycles and the people who loved them. He was a member of the Fox Cities British Car Club and the N.E.W. MINI Club. If Bob wasn’t on the road, you would likely find him at a club event, a race track, a car show or in his garage. He enjoyed gatherings with friends and family, a good meal and the occasional glass of porter.
Bob worked most of his life as a semitruck driver and was currently employed as a delivery truck driver at FZE Manufacturing Solutions in North Fond du Lac. He enjoyed his work and the people he worked with.
Survivors include two sisters, Susan James and Nancy Kaul; brother, Thomas (Joan) Kaul; two nieces, Heidi Burns (William Tollefson) and Stacy Hitesman; two great-nieces, Arianna Burns and Emma Hitesman; and a great-nephew, Eric Hitesman. He was preceded in death by his parents, and his nephew, Eric James.
A special thanks to the bystanders and EMTs for their quick and caring response, and the staff in the Froedtert Hospital Emergency Room.
A visitation will be held from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 20, at Uecker-Witt Funeral Home, 524 N. Park Ave., Fond du Lac. Burial will be in Rienzi Cemetery will take place at a later date. Cremation has taken place.
