Alice F. Wondra (nee Flasch), 93, of Mayville, passed away Sunday, Jan. 20, 2019, at Hope Health and Rehabilitation Center in Lomira with her family by her side.
A Mass of Christian Burial will take place at 11 a.m. Friday, Jan. 25, at St. Andrew Catholic Church in LeRoy with the Rev. Fr. Tom Biersack presiding. Visitation for Alice will take place Thursday, Jan. 24, from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. at Koepsell Funeral Home in Mayville and again Friday, Jan. 25, from 9:30 a.m. until the time of the Mass at 11 a.m. at St. Andrew’s in LeRoy. Burial will take place at St. Andrew Catholic Cemetery in LeRoy.
Alice was born the daughter of Joseph and Alvina (Ruplinger) Flasch on March 23, 1925, in St. Killian. She was united in marriage to Raymond P. Wondra on Oct. 18, 1944, at St. Killian Catholic Church in St. Killian. Together with her family she farmed in the township of LeRoy. She was a member of St. Andrew Catholic Church in LeRoy where she served as a Christian Mother. Polka dancing was a passion for Alice and her husband Raymond for many years. In her spare time, Alice enjoyed quilting, baking, gardening, and playing cards with her family and her friends.
Alice is survived by her children, Mary Jane (Robert) Ratzburg of West Bend, Audrey (Robert) Wild of Mayville, Roger (Mary) Wondra of Lomira, Allen (Deborah) Wondra of Mayville, and Steven (Nancy) Wondra of Mayville. She was blessed with 21 grandchildren, 37 great-grandchildren, four step-great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild on the way in May. Alice is further survived by her in laws, Eileen Flasch, Helen Thimm, Mary Wondra, Del Preston, Cecelia (Joe) Belligan, and Albert (Pat) Wondra, and many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Raymond in 2010; her infant son, Ronald; brother, Roland; sisters, Bernice (Leo) Zenner and Angeline (Arnold) Wondra; and granddaughter-in-law, Ashley Wondra.
Memorials may be directed to St. Andrew Catholic Church.
