Roger V. Lecey, 89
March 16, 1929 -- Feb. 27, 2019

Roger V. Lecey passed away at Lasata Care Center on Wednesday Feb. 27, 2019, at the age of 89. Born in Evanston, Ill., on March 16, 1929, the son of Roy and Lillian (nee Paulsen) Lecey. After attending local schools, he honorably served his nation in the U.S. Army during the Korean War.

Roger was united in marriage to Pauline Majkowski at St. Mary’s Church in Evanston, Ill., on Sept. 12, 1953. He went on to work for 30 years with the city of Evanston as a fireman. Survivors include his wife of 65 years, Pauline, children Robert (Valeree) Lecey of Cedarburg, Gerald (Barbara) Lecey of Mount Prospect, Ill., and Kathryn (Paul) Fricke of Grand Rapids, Mich., 12 grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren, along with other relatives and friends. In retirement, Roger enjoyed making intricate scale models of World War I aircraft.

A Memorial Service followed by Military Honors will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, March 16, 2019, at Lasata Care Center Chapel, W76 N677 Wauwatosa Road, Cedarburg, Wis. 53012, with Fr. Patrick Burns officiating. The family will greet relatives and friends on Saturday from 10 a.m. until time of service, and at a reception to be held immediately following the service. Private interment at Southern Wisconsin Veterans Memorial Cemetery. Memorials to the National Fallen Firefighters Fund or Lasata Care Center are appreciated.
