Slagle was awoken by her dog, Nellie, to find her porch on fire. Slagle was able to get everyone out of the house un-harmed. Police and firefighters told Slagle if the home could be restored, she could maybe get back into the house in four months. Slagle operates her business, A Personal Touch Salon, out of her home.
