Haeberlin said she almost came to tears as she came to the finish line because she was unsure if she would be able to finish the walk. Haeberlin said the emotion took over when she saw all of the faces at the finish line cheering her on. Haeberlin was born with a conjunctive heart failure and had two open heart surgeries when she was ten days old and 20 months old.
