Washington County Fair
July 22-27, 2008
2008 will mark the 150th Anniversary of
the Washington County Fair and the addi-
tion of a new 23,400 sq. ft. Ziegler
Pavilion building to the Fair Park. Many
fun activities will be planned in conjunc-
tion with this celebration in addition to the
annual attractions including 4-H exhibits,
livestock exhibits, horse shows, entertain-
ment for all ages, food and carnival rides.
Fairgoers will have a chance to take a trip
down memory lane by visiting a mock-up
Fair site depicting the era from the first fair-
grounds to the present. There will also be
a dedication of the new Ziegler Pavilion on
Tuesday evening, which will be the new
home of the 4-H exhibits.
Rainbow Valley Rides will be on hand to
once again thrill carnival riders and offer
some turn back the times ride specials.
The Kandu Magic and GameShow will be
featured in the children's activity area,
along with many hands on activities in the
Ag Adventure Land. Music will be in abun-
dance with regional bands, area bands,
Christian music and entertainment by
many local dance and performing groups.
The Main Stage line-up is yet to be
announced, but will feature national
entertainment Thurs-Sat, along with the
Tractor Pull on Tuesday and Truck pull on
Sunday. A new added feature this year will
be a rodeo on Wednesday evening.
