This pleasant village built along a sharp bend in the Milwaukee River, is home to a variety of businesses, including a 27-hole golf course, downhill ski & tub- ing facility, unique specialty shops, pubs, and casual dining establishments. Named after a local Potawatomi Indian Chief whose name translates to “turn- ing on its track”, Kewaskum has become well known as the Gateway to the Northern Unit of the Kettle Moraine State Forest. The Eisenbahn Hiking/Biking Trail runs through the village and connects with the Ice Age Hiking Trail. The area offers camping, swimming, horse trails and boarding facilities, hunting, fishing, and cross country skiing.
