OAK CREEK — Olameter DPG informed the Wisconsin Department of Workforce Development that it will be permanently closing its Oak Creek facility, resulting in the layoffs of 70 workers. The layoffs will start Dec. 31, according to the notice. They are six salaried positions and 64 hourly. According to the notice, Olameter DPG is working with its customer We Energies to extend the contract for a few more weeks in addition to provide the company's employees with more notice of the closure. Olameter DPG is located at 9807 S. Thirteenth St. in Oak Creek. It manages and monitors key assets and processes critical data for utilities.
